Mathrubhumi gearing to launch its News channel

Mathrubhumi, the second most read Malayalam daily of Kerala, going to launch a 24-hour channel and the group is taking help of NDTV consultant.
Sources told IANS that the channel will be launched ahead of assembly elections in May 2011. The channel will be based on Thiruvanthapuram once they get licenses expected anytime.

Cartoon Network India will launch a new action-adventure packed series ‘Generation Rex’ in January, 2011.
Generator Rex is a New Year gift from Cartoon Network India for its viewers. The series has been produced by Ben 10 team.

After Sahara Samay, it is Aalami Sahara making rounds

Sahara News Network launched its Urdu News channel Aalami Sahara on December 27, 2010 in the capital. The channel will be aired in 54 different countries.
The channel will cater regional, national and international audiences with a varied newsy content. The company is a part of business conglomerate ‘Sahara India Pariwar’, which publishes an Urdu daily ‘Roznama Rashtriya Sahara’, a weekly-magazine ‘Aalami Sahara’ and a monthly tabloid ‘Bazm-e-Sahara’. Aalmi Sahara was launched with a view to present cutting-edge news of regional, national and International caliber with fairness and objectivity and will keep its audiences abreast of the day to day happening in a language spoken a greater chunk of people in India sub-continent.

Zee in a win-win position, reaches to Australian market

Zee Network, the largest Indian entertainment network in the world has gone a step further. Zee has launched four channels viz. Zee TV, APAC, Zee Cinema, Zing & Zee Salaam on Fetch TV in Australia.
This has made Zee Network with the maximum number of channels on their platform. They have been launched on world TV, which is a package on Fetch TV. Fetch TV has two sub-packages in it, South Asian and Mandarin.

India’s First HD Movie Channel Launching on 19 December

Times Television Network has finalised 19 December 2010 as the launch date of its English movie channel, Movies Now.
India’s first HD English movie channel will be distributed by Times Television Network, which also distributes ET Now.
