Tikona Digital Networks set to launch LTE broadband services in state

A new entrant in the broadband sector, Tikona Digital Networks (TDN) is now planning to launch a 4G - LTE broadband in Gujarat. Presently, the company is offering fixed broadband service in the state and has a subscriber base of 15,000.
The company will roll out its 4G LTE services in four major cities of Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot.
Unlike 3G which offers an average usable data transfer speed of 1-3 MBPS, 4G technology will offer about 10 MBPS. TDN is looking at desktop and laptop users who require high data transfers.
Meanwhile, talking about market share, chief marketing officer, TDN, Ranade said, "Currently, Gujarat has a subscriber base of 600,000-700,000 broadband users. However, the monthly addition of subscribers in Gujarat is happening at a rate of 12,000-15,000 users, of which TDN is enjoying a market share of over 20 per cent." Ranade added nationally, Gujarat contributes over 10 per cent to TDN's overall revenue and subscriber base.
