TRAI raises SMS limit to 200

Trai has increased the limit of 100 SMSes per day per SIm to 200 SMSes. The authority has considered the representation of the service providers and consumer and decided to increase the limit of 100 SMSes per day per SIM. 
The new cap of 200 SMSes per SIM per day will be effective from Tuesday. 48th ABU General Assembly to commence from 2 November.

The 48th General Assembly of the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Corporation (ABU) will start from November 2 with over 460 delegates from 60 countries are schedule to take part in the conference. 
The public broadcaster Prasar Bharati will host the week-long meetings that will focus on a wide range of issues of interest to broadcasters. 
The introduction of new broadcasting services will be discussed during the conference besides several issues of role of media in development, disaster management and changing perspectives.
