Qamar Waheed Naqvi, News Director of TV Today retires this month

May 31 is the last working day at the organisation for Q W Naqvi. Output heads of all four channels will now report to Kalli Purie/Aroon Purie. 
Editorial head and News Director of TV Today, Qamar Waheed Naqvi will retire on 31 May 2012. 

He is credited with having come up with the name ‘Aaj Tak’ during his first stint with the organisation when the news programme used to be telecast on DD Metro in the 90s. In his second stint, Naqvi spent close to nine years with TV Today. 
It is understood that TV Today has not found any replacement for Naqvi and hence the editorial/output heads of all the four channels of TV Today will directly report to Kalli Purie/Aroon Purie.
