Alan Horn joins as Chairman: Walt Disney Studios

The Walt Disney Company has appointed Alan Horn as the Chairman of its unit, The Walt Disney Studios. 

The appointment, effective from June 11. Horn will oversee worldwide operations for the unit including production, distribution and marketing for live-action and animated films from Disney, Pixar and Marvel, The Walt Disney Studios said in a statement. 

He will also be responsible for marketing and distribution for DreamWorks Studios films released under the Touchstone Pictures banner.
