New ‘Fibre to Home’ facility from BSNL for high speed Internet

The ‘Fibre to Home’ (FTTH) facility for the consumers by the state run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited would be launched by month-end for providing Internet, telephone and TV channels’ access to the consumers.
The new Fibre to Home facility would bring high speed Internet for the consumers and speeds would be up to 100 Mbps and results would be stupendous. For example, the users would be able to download a movie in just a minute, a BSNL spokesman said today quoting Senior General Manager G. C. Pandey.

The FTH service would also be provided at the Global Investor Meet to be hosted next month, the mobile towers for the same have also been erected. The places where the FTH network is being laid includes the High Court, State Bank of India, GP, IT Park, the IIM and University area in the city.
BSNL would charge Rs 300 per month for 1 Mbps connection, and Rs 84,000 for 100 mbps, the installation charges would be Rs 1,000, according to the BSNL tariff.
