U.S. court orders imprisonment for anti-Islam filmmaker

A U.S. court has ordered that the anti Islam film maker, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, should be imprisoned as he has violated the probation term for a 2010 cheque fraud conviction.
The federal prosecutor said the total number of probation violations by Nakoula were eight which included using aliases and lying to the probation officers. He was convicted in 2010, for which he had to undergo 21 months in prison. He was also not allowed to use computers or the Internet, for five years. If at all he had to use the same, he had to take approval from the probation officer.

Along with the anti Islam film made by him, a trailer of the film was also uploaded on YouTube which sparked off violent protests in the Middle East. The violence in the Middle East countries started in September 11 and has spread in other areas afterwards; many people were killed during the protests. The film maker went into hiding once it became clear he was the man responsible for creating the trailer.
