In Kashmir, Pak TV’s TRPs fall

The UPA government has conducted a survey in the state of Jammu and Kashmir which has revealed that only two per cent of the state population watches Pakistani channels in the area. The survey further says most of the people in the state watch Doordarshan and DD-Kashir channels.
According to the data, average viewership of DD Kashir viewers in the state was 33.9 per cent whereas 33 per cent viewers were regular viewers. The percentage of regular viewers of DD National in the state was a dismal 12.8 per cent though 17.9 per cent viewed the channel every now and then.

In the survey, there were 800 respondents covered with an aim to find out the viewing pattern of different TV channels. Most of the respondents (50.2 per cent) were between 15 and 29 years of age whereas the other age group was of were in the age group of 30-44 years (31.5 per cent).
