Huawei launches Network Operation Centre in Egypt

Global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider Huawei has launched its Network Operation Centre (NOC) in Egypt to provide services in the North African region.
Huawei has Global Network Operation Centres (GNPC) in India and Romania with the one in Mexico under progress.

The Chinese major also has five Country Network Operation Centres globally including the one now launched in Egypt.
The centre launched in Cairo on 20 November is dedicated to operating and managing telecommunication networks, and providing professional services to operators in Northern Africa Region, the Company said.
After touring the state-of-the-art NOC, Ahmed El Sherbini, Vice Minister in the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), said, “The NOC is fairly impressive. Huawei’s long-term contribution to the telecom industry in Egypt and the Region is highly appreciated”.
The Egypt Network Operation Centre will provide network operation services such as front-office operation (help desk, fault handling, network surveillance), back office operation (corrective &preventive maintenance, change management and capacity management.
It will also offer vendor support management, work force management, operation support management (SLA management, security management and IT platform management) and network performance management.
Huawei entered the North African market in 1999 and now serves more than 30 telecom service providers in region.
