CASBAA CEO Simon Twiston Davies quits

After more than a decade with the Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA), Simon Twiston Davies is moving on as the Association’s CEO. December 31, 2012 will be his final day with CASBAA. Christopher Slaughter will take over from Davies. 
Davies is taking a sabbatical till early March 2013, after which he will be consulting in various areas. At CASBAA, Davies had been representing the interests of the pay-TV industry and related telecoms and new media companies across the Asia Pacific region. Before taking his post at CASBAA, he was CEO of Kagan Asia Media, the Asian regional division of Kagan Associates. Davis is also a seasoned journalist, specialising in the Asian television and telecoms industries. 

Slaughter has more than 25 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific broadcasting industry to the role. He currently leads the Executive team, responsible for representing the interests of CASBAA’s 130-member companies across 18 Asian markets. Prior to CASBAA, Slaughter was Managing Director and Executive Producer at production company APV, Asia-Pacific Head of Consultancy at The Yankee Group, and Hong Kong and Shanghai Bureau Chief for CNBC Asia.
