Harris Broadcast Offers Integrated File-Based Workflow at BES EXPO 2013

Harris Broadcast will showcase an integrated file-based solution at BES 2013 (stand no. 97, Hall 12A, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 29 - 31 January 2013), helping customers simplify workflow processes across production and playout facilities all the way through to transmission.
As well as showing the new, unique Versio™ integrated playout platform, the complete integrated workflow solution at BES 2013 will incorporate some of the company’s key solutions, including NEXIO AMP® servers and NEXIO Farad™ online storage, Invenio® digital asset management, the Selenio™ media convergence platform, Inscriber® G8 graphics and the latest ADC™ automated content management and distribution.

The recently introduced Harris Versio solution has altered the course of channel-in-a-box design for broadcasters, delivering the industry’s most complete all-in-one solution to help customers rapidly launch, expand and sustain their on-air channels and services — while strengthening revenue growth and protection.
“This year at BES EXPO we will once again be showcasing a complete integrated workflow — from ingest all the way through to playout,” says Said Bacho, vice president sales & service, Middle East & South Asia for Harris Broadcast. “Our unique ability to supply a completely interoperable, single-vendor solution enables broadcasters to centralise costs, support and workflow and bring greater efficiency and clarity to daily operations.”
Harris will also be showcasing the latest developments in its ADC automation software, the solution to any content management workflow requirement. ADC incorporates the benefits of asset management with the efficiencies of automated operations, making it an ideal platform for content control and delivery. The ADC system’s modular, scalable architecture allows it to adapt to evolving business needs and provides the flexibility needed to explore new revenue concepts.
Also on display for the first time at BES, is the Harris Inscriber G8 graphics production system. Built for high-end graphics creation, the G8 provides uncompressed imagery, and unprecedented graphics and animation capabilities. It offers real-time creation and execution of the high-caliber, complex 3D graphics and animations that today’s live news, sports and special events demand.
Visitors to BES EXPO will also see signal processing applications as part of the broadcast workflow, including loudness management, as well as routing and monitoring solutions, master control switching, and encoding and networking. Harris transmission solutions will be on display to demonstrate how broadcasters can deliver a wealth of new digital services through more efficient use of the terrestrial spectrum.
