Broadcasters to accept TAM till a new system in installed

Pressure from advertisers and ad agencies seems to be working on the pay broadcasters who had unscribed TAM due to dissatisfaction in with the rating system. According to sources close to the development, of the 11 broadcasters who had pulled out, seven are withdrawing their decision to unsubscribe from TAM; others are expected to follow suit soon.
According to media reports many of the broadcasters are withdrawing their decision to unsubscribe. A resolution meeting is in the pipeline between TAM and broadcasters some time this week.

It is believed that since there is no other rating system operational, there is a pressure from advertisers as well as ad agencies to continuing with TAM till BAEC system is established.
Major advertisers started to build pressure on the broadcasters to withdraw their decision to unsubscribe. Advertisers were keen on ratings and insisted that without any rating currency they were not interested in putting their monies. According to sources, some of them even stopped the ROs for the month of July.
On the other hand, broadcasters are pressurising media agencies to increase ad rates in order to garner revenues as the 10+2 ad cap is slated to come into play in around four months.
