Dilip Venkatraman quits Network18 group

N. Dilip Venkatraman, Chief Executive of CNN-IBN and IBN7 news channels, has resigned to pursue other entrepreneurial ventures, Network18 group said in a statement on 12 August.
Ajay Chacko, Chief operating officer will oversee the operations of the channels in the interim.

Venkatraman was associated with the Network18 group for about eight years in various roles. 
He had earlier led marketing operations for CNN-IBN, IBN7 and IBN-Lokmat, besides managing IBN Focus, a media solutions unit that serviced these channels.
Prior to that, he had been associated with India Today group and Zee Network.
