C K Harish Kumar, erstwhile vice president, sales and marketing, Public TV has been appointed as chief operating officer in the channel. He will be responsible for driving sales and marketing initiatives, along with strategy planning and spearheading the team pan-India, and paving the roadmap for the overall business. Kumarjoined Public TV in 2012 as vice-president, sales and marketing.
Pubic TV is a Kannada language news channel, owned by Writemen Media.
Kumar will report to H R Ranganath, chairman and managing director
Kumar has about two decades of experience in the media business. He started working in 1989 as a trainer in Gajanand Institute. He moved to Getit Yellow Pages in 1993, which was his entry into the media business.
