Time Warner Cable launches Hindi STAR Pass in Kansas, Texas and California

Time Warner Cable is rolling the Hindi STAR Pass package into additional services.

The package, comprising STAR India Plus, Life OK, STAR India Gold and ABP News, is now available to Time Warner Cable customers in Kansas City, Texas and Southern California. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The rollout of Hindi STAR Pass in those areas follows its bow on TWC systems serving New York City last year, and in the Carolinas and the northeast this past summer. The package retails for $19.99 per month in a addition to a TWC video subscription.

General-entertainment service STAR India Plus, which is subtitled in English for intergenerational viewing, presents Hindi-language dramas series, reality shows, Bollywood movie premieres and special events, while STAR India Gold offers contemporary and classic Hindi-language movies.

Life OK provides family-friendly fare, including drama and mythological series, comedies and real-life stories. For its part, ABP News is India's leading 24/7 Hindi news channel.
