Sun TV’s satellite subscribers in Europe and ME to migrate to cloud

Sun TV Networks Europe has partnered with Cloudio TV to migrate its satellite subscribers in Europe and Middle East to the latter’s over-the-top (OTT) platform. 
Cloudio TV will take control of the delivery of Sun TV’s current linear channels and develop Sun TV’s video on-demand (VOD) services. 

It will also offer backend services to Sun TV Network such as subscriber and bouquet management, payment/billing, CDN delivery of all content, call centre and distribution of boxes across Europe and Middle East. 
Sun TV Network Europe broadcast’s six TV channels – Sun TV, KTV, Sun Music, Sun Adithya, Surya TV and Gemini TV – across Europe and the Middle East. 
“We are pleased to partner up with Cloudio TV to continue to bring our content outside of India in the form of this exclusive partnership,” said Sun TV’s director Yasothera Renganathan. “Cloudio TV has demonstrated that they are at the forefront of technology and offer us an end-to-end solution that meets all our requirements, most importantly, the security of our content. They will be providing the Sun TV channels and VOD content exclusively to our subscribers across Europe and Middle East.

We’ve already started after a successful test period and expect to finish by Q1 of next year.
