Asianet cable digitisation

Asianet Satellite Communications has achieved total digitisation of cable service connections in Pathanamthitta district in Kerala.
Binu George, Executive Vice-President, Asianet Cable Services, said that the company uses digital set top boxes manufactured by Cisco. Digital set top boxes are required for receiving television signals. Without it, cable TV signals would be blacked out. The boxes are available in different models as well as in latest high definition and high definition-digital video recorder formats.

Pathanamthitta is the first district to accomplish 100 per cent digitisation mandate for Asianet ahead of a deadline fixed by the regulator.
