New IRS -13 would not publish yet

District court of Gwalior on 12th February ban the publication of new Indian Readership Survey (IRS 2013). The petition had filed by Bhaskar Publications & Allied industries to ban the publication of IRS 2013.
Representing the case on behalf of the plaintiff, advocate Sitesh Gupta had given an affidavit stating that the disputed survey is full of anomalies which have been opposed by a number of leading newspapers across the country. The disputed survey is affecting the business of Bhaskar Publications & Allied Industries Private Limited, hence it should be banned, claimed the affidavit.

The dispute rages between publications and the Media Research User Council (MRUC) over the findings of the new Indian Readership Survey (IRS 2013) that witnessed withdrawal advises issued by Indian Newspaper Society (INS) and Association of Indian Magazines (AIM) to their members.
