Pakistan police beaten cable operators and MSOs

Around 40 Pakistan cable operators were beaten by police, following an order issued by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) last week. The police hit the operators in the Rawalpindi and Islamabad over the issue of carriage of unauthorized channels.
According to local press, cable operators who visited the spot included, Web Com (Pvt) Ltd, SA Associates, Five Star Cable Network, Ocean Cable Network, United Communication Shan Cable Network, DHAI Teleman,  Pasban Cable Network, The Professionals, and World Call (Pvt) Ltd.
