TDSAT orders broadcasters, aggregators to provide signals for AP MSO

Rejoice came for Andhra Pradesh based multi system operator (MSO), Wiretel Digital Networks on 23rd April as the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed broadcasters and content aggregators to provide signals of their channels.
The tribunal has asked MSM Discovery, Star Sports, Sun Distribution Services, Eenadu Television and Maa Television to enter into an agreement with the MSO on the basis of their Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO) within two weeks.
The RIO shall be applicable to the addressable systems other than direct-to-home (DTH), and for areas under digital addressable system (DAS) regime or otherwise, as the case may be, the tribunal said in its order.
The tribunal also asked Wiretel to ensure that its registration certificate from the registering authority remains valid.
