CQ- Sun News crew attacked

In perhaps the only major incidence of violence against presspersons on the day of counting, a crew from Sun News was brutally assaulted outside the AIADMK headquarters around 1 p.m.
The attack took place when the crew, led by correspondent Ramaselvaraj, was recording responses of the public. Suddenly, a group of AIADMK men intercepted the filming and began arguing with the cameraman Mohandhara.
“If the DMK had won, would you have spared the Jaya TV crew,” the men asked, as they assaulted the journalists.
They damaged the broadcasting van and chased the crew away.
