CQ- Sun TV net profit increases by 11.3% in Q4

Sun TV Network has reported an 11 per cent growth in net profit for the fourth quarter of 2013-14 at 197.57 crore (177.50 crore) on a total income of 533.35 crore (494.30 crore). 
For 2013-14, the TV broadcaster reported a 5 per cent growth in the net profit over the previous year to 716.96 crore (683.34 crore) on a total income of 2,175.99 crore (1,872.64 crore). 
It has announced a final dividend of 2.25 (45 per cent) an equity share. SL Narayanan, CFO, told media that subscription revenues maintained robust growth of close to 25 per cent year-on-year. 
Advertising revenues remained flat during the year. On the BSE, the company’s shares closed 8 per cent lower at 424.40 over the previous close of 432.85.
Sun TV Network’s fourth quarter performance was in line with market expectations. As such, the counter witnessed increased investor interest, helping the stock price to record steady gains in the past few trading sessions. In the result week, Sun TV’s share price had surged nearly 10 per cent to current levelof Rs 424.40 on the BSE.
