CQ-Airtle Digital TV’s ARPU increases in Q1

India’s leading direct-to-home (DTH) service provider Airtel Digital TV has registered growth to Rs 214 in its average revenue per user (ARPU) in the first quarter of this fiscal. This is the highest ARPU registered by the company for long time. Earlier company highest ARPU was at Rs 207 reported in the third quarter of the previous financial year, which subsequently fell to Rs 203. 
Subscriber base of the company has also increases in the first quarter. According to the press note, the company has added 376,000 subscribers in the quarter ending 30 June 2014 compared to 205,000 in preceding quarter. The company total net subscriber base now stands at 9.4 million.
