Nagpur Cable Operators to pay Rs 30 per month to MSO: TDSAT

In an ongoing case between LCOs of Nagpur and their MSO GTPL regarding hike in subscription fee paid every month, TDSAT ordered the LCOs to continue paying Rs 30/- per month per subscriber till the next hearing of the case on 10 December 2014.
According to the order of the court on 17 November, Hon’ble Mr Justice Aftab Alam, Chairperson and Hon’ble Mr Justice Kuldip Singh, member ordered respondents GTPL and others to fill their response within two weeks. Another week has been given to the petitioner ‘Orange City Cable Operators Welfare Association’, Nagpur, Maharashtra to file their rejoinder. Till then members of the association will pay on Rs 30/- per subscriber every month to the MSOs as was done earlier.
Allowing the appeal, the court has also permitted the petitioner to make necessary correction in the petition as prayed in the MA. Mr Dinesh Rawat, Advocate is representing the Cable Operators Association. TRAI is also one of the respondents.
