Expanding Global Broadband Network Increases Need for Reliable Backup Power

As the worldwide broadband market sees record growth, Alpha Technologies is positioning itself to continue to be a leader and innovator in reliability, security and performance for backup power systems. As part of that effort, Alpha Technologies is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Loeffelholz as Alpha’s new Director of Product Management responsible for cable broadband products.
Loeffelholz comes on board at the start of another busy year at Alpha Technologies. He will be responsible for the next generation of power supply, generator, enclosure and fiber optic power products. Several new products are expected to be announced this year, with several more slated for 2016. Alpha continues to see rapid growth and sustainable expanding markets in the global broadband market.
“We are very pleased to have Todd joining our team at a time of such dynamic growth,” said John Hewitt, Vice President of Broadband Sales and Product Management. “His extensive domestic and international experience in communications hardware will provide the next level of growth for our global broadband strategies.”
Loeffelholz has more than 18 years in engineering, marketing, business development, and product management. Most recently he worked for TE Connectivity (formerly ADC) in Berwyn, PA. While working for TE Connectivity, he spent eight years working in China, holding positions in new product development, marketing and product management.
He takes over for Jose Medina, who was an integral part of the Alpha XM3-HP Cable UPS product development team. Medina is now Alpha Technologies Director of International Business Development, where he will use his expertise to deliver Alpha’s technological leadership and reputation for reliability to expanding global markets.
Alpha Technologies is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of AC and DC power conversion, protection, and standby products. Millions of Alpha power systems can be found optimizing and backing up the broadband network globally.
