Harmonic Transforms Video Delivery Bringing Ultra HD and Intelligent Function Integration to New Electra™ X Advanced Media Processor

Vellore district Collector R. Nanthagopal has warned of stringent legal action against persons who were operating private local television channels (PLCs) without the licence issued by the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation (ACTC).
The Collector said in a release that the ACTC, Chennai has approved 51 PLCs in Vellore district. It has however come to the notice of the district administration that some PLCs which were suspended for default in payment of monthly subscription to the ACTC were continuing to operate without permission.
He further stated that some persons were operating PLCs clandestinely in order to cause loss and disrepute to the government.
Such acts affected the interests of genuine PLC operators who are remitting the monthly subscription to the ACTC.
Therefore, the district administration has decided to take stringent action against the operators of PLCs whose telecast has been stopped by the ACTC for non-payment of subscription, and which clandestinely operated local TV channels, the Collector said.
