Maran’s judicial custody extended till February 18

The judicial custody of three persons, who were arrested in connection with the BSNL exchange case, has been extended to February 18 by a special court for CBI cases on 4 February.
The three, former Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran’s Additional Private Secretary V. Gowthaman, Sun TV’s Chief Technical Officer S. Kannan and Electrician K.S. Ravi, were arrested by the CBI’s Special Task Force officials at Chennai on 21 January and remanded in judicial custody till February 4. When the case came up on 4 February, Judge J. Krishnamoorthy extended the custody.
