MIB decided to hold open house meetings with all stakeholders on 20th every month

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) has decided to hold all future open house meetings (OHMs) with all stake holders including Multi-System Operators (MSOs), broadcasters and teleport operators once a month. Henceforth open house will be held on 20th of each month. If the 20th of a month happens to be a central government holiday, then the meeting would be held on next working day. Timing for the meetings will be from 11 am to 12 pm.
Till date, the MIB was holding open house for broadcasters fortnightly on the 5th and 20th of every month whereas open house for MSOs have been taking place every Tuesday.
The main objective of these open house meetings is to keep all applicants updated on their licences and registrations as well as to clear any doubts about the same.
The ministry said that only regular employees of the company would be allowed to participate in the OHM. These employees must carry an authorisation letter from the top executive of the company in their name to participate in the OHM, in addition to a photo identity card issued by the employer company.
In case of broadcast or teleport companies desiring to participate in the OHM, will send an email request detailing the issues for discussion latest by the 10th of the month to the director (BC) on dirbc-moib@nic.in
In the same way, MSOs will send their request for participation and the issues to be discussed latest by the 10th of the month to the section officer (DAS) through e-mail on sectionofficerdas@gmail.com with a cc to das.mib@gmail.com
