After a month since its inception, BARC India has decided to roll out Individual Ratings Data starting with week 21 (Saturday, 23 May to Friday, 29 May). This data will be released on every Thursday, starting from 4th June.
It is pertinent to know that since 29 April, 2015 BARC India has been releasing its TV rating data on every Wednesday. The data rolled out was from week 16 of this year and comprised a panel of about 12,000 households from cities and towns having population more than 100,000 all India.
Partho Dasgupta, chief executive officer (CEO) of BARC India said that response from broadcasters and advertising agencies has been very good.
He added, "While all broadcasters were using the household data to their benefit - now with Individual data releasing, media planners, buyers and advertisers can make the most of it too. This is the next launch in our series of phased launches for the world's largest and most modern audience measurement system."
