BSNL partners with ASI to to make Taj Mahal a Wi-fi free Zone

Soon after Union Telecom Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad’s announcement to strengthen the broadband connection throughout the country, state-run telecom operator BSNL declares to provide free Wi-Fi internet facility across the sprawling campus of Taj Mahal in Agra from 16th June 2015. BSNL also revealed that it has partnered with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to provide WiFi hotspots for tourists at the Taj Mahal for half an hour. Users exceeding 30 minutes will be charged Rs.30 per hour.
While the bandwidth is being provided by BSNL, Quadgen, a Bengaluru is providing the wireless support.
Fatehpur Sikri fort of Agra and many more monuments in the country are in the the pipeline to become public WiFi hotspots.
