Removed of satellite channels Puthiya Thalaimurai and Thanthi TV

DMK treasurer M. K. Stalin on 22 August said it was condemnable that the Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd had removed satellite channels Puthiya Thalaimurai and Thanthi TV from its cable network.
In a statement at Tamilnadu, he accused the State government of using Arasu Cable to silence dissent and intimidate channels that had failed to toe the government line.
“By controlling what content should reach people, the AIADMK government is curbing freedom of speech and stifle dissent,” he said.
