Doordarshan Freedish auctions 8 more slots in 22nd e-auction

Doordarshan Freedish has allotted 8 slots to different TV channels in 22nd e-auction held on 22 September, 2015 now. The e-auction was conducted by Noida-based C1 India on behalf of Prasar Bharati.
DD Freedish, Doordarshan’s free direct-to-home (DTH) service, has added 8 more slots to the winning channels in the 22nd e-auction. These channels include Wow Cinema, Sanskar TV, Aastha, Dangal, Enterr10, Shri News, Aastha Bhajan and B4U Movies. Wow Cinema and Sanskar TV are the new channels where as others have retained their slots.
This channel will be available on DD Free Dish from next week.
The base price per DTH slot has yet again been kept at Rs 3.7 crore per slot.
The incremental amount was be Rs 1 million with every auction set for 15-minute duration. 
The successful channels will be required to arrange their own IRD box in advance to place their channels on the DD Free Dish platform on time.
The EMD drafts will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders within a week or immediately after the e-auction is over.
Successful bidders are required to deposit Rs 1.10 crore as reserve price after one month of placement of channel on DD Free Dish. The balance amount of the total reserve price of Rs 3.7 crore has to be deposited by the successful channel after two months from the placement of the channel along with service tax of 14 per cent on the total bid amount.
The balance bid amount will have to be deposited on or before six months from placement of the channel on DD Free Dish, failing which the reserve price of Rs 3.7 crore will be forfeited and the channel will be discontinued from DD Free Dish.
The participation amount has been pegged at Rs 1.50 crore. Prasar Bharati will be levying Rs 10,000 as processing fees.
Earlier, DD Freedish, Doordarshan’s free direct-to-home (DTH) service, had added six slots to Indian television channels Rishtey, Star Utsav, B4U Music, Zee Anmol, Zee Sangam and Housefull Movies on its platform in 21st e-auction.
DD Free Dish, which currently runs 64 free-to-air channels and 29 radio channels, is looking to take its TV channel count to 112 in the coming months.
