iTV Network launches news channel in Gujarat

Launching a news channel in regional language and in a state where election heat is on is quite a business-friendly task. iTV Network did the same by launching a Gujarati news channel ‘India News Gujarat’ at a time when parties are clashing tooth and nail in the state and everyone’s eyes are on the state.

Currently the genre is occupied by TV9 Gujarati, ETV News Gujarati, GS TV, Sandesh News and VTV Gujarati and ABP Asmita.

According to iTV Network founder and promoter Kartikeya Sharma, “Regional and local concerns often get subsumed in national broadcasting formats. We strongly believe regional programming must be given the due space and promotion it deserves. The launch of India News Gujarat is our response to the need for credible providers of regional news services in the state. “
