CBI & ED wants prosecutors’ written opinions to file appeal in 2G Case

The investigating agencies CBI and ED have sought written opinions from the public prosecutors who dealt with the 2G case so that the judgment of the special CBI court acquitting all the accused in the spectrum allocation case can be challenged without any delay.

As per media sources, the agencies have been “orally” advised by the special prosecutor that the judgment of the special CBI court is “wrong in the eyes of law” and that it “failed to deal with the element of criminal conspiracy in a holistic view. Instead, it focused on blaming the officers for wrongs done by the then telecom minister ARaja”.

Now these agencies have sought a short written opinion after which the CBI will offer its opinion. Both opinions will be then put before the government for discussion. After the government’s opinion, appeals will be filed in the high court.
