India TV Today exposes hypocrisy of so called moral policing group ‘Kannada Pride’

India is a country where extremes happen. While moral policing is high everywhere, the same moral policing groups also take bribes to allow the same thing which it threatens of dire consequences if allowed by the law.

Some time back, a moral policing group ‘Kannada Pride’ has warned organizers and state not to allow Sunny Leone's proposed New Year programme, calling it an attack on their culture. Now the sting operation by India TV Today has exposed that the same group is seeking Rs 30 lakh bribe to allow the show of Sunny.

India Today investigation has found several outfits running what appears to be brazen extortion rackets in the guise of Kannada pride. The investigation caught senior office-bearers of the main factions of the KRV-led by Narayana Gowda and Praveen Shetty, seeking heavy bribes to allow future Leone events.
