ACT to start FTA channel on its mobile app

To retain customers and win new ones, telecom operators, broadcasters, MSOs, DTH operators are adopting the new technologies and offering OTT content. ACT Fibernet, country’s largest fibre broadband internet service provider, too is now offering free-to-air (FTA) channels on its mobile app to all its customers across 12 cities.


ACT has also partnered with leading OTT platform YuppTV to offer 140 + live channels in 13 different languages. Earlier, ACT Fibernet had partnered with Hooq TV, Fastfilmz, ALTBalaji and Hungama TV.

According to ACT Fibernet CIO Haraprasad Khar, “Our vision is to become the most admired entertainment service provider and we are continuously striving towards achieving that. With over 1.2 million users, we understand the pulse of our customers and their requirements. Today, access to information 24X7 is an imperative necessity and this latest feature will allow customers to stay updated on news, entertainment, music and lifestyle anytime, anywhere. This is a starting step and we will be updating our app with more exciting features going forward.”
