You Broadband to deploy Rs 600 cr Capex for expansion in next 2 FY

You Broadband India, the Vodafone India-owned broadband service provider, is going to invest Rs 600 crore in the next two fiscal years. Earlier, it invested just Rs. 54 crore in one FY. The fund will come through a vendor financing arrangement with credit period of a year. Thus, the additional debt may have to be contracted from fiscal 2019 to fund the gap between cash accrual and maturing vendor obligation.

You Broadband, which was acquired by Vodafone India in June 2017, had trebled its net profit to Rs 20 crore in FY17 compared to Rs 7 crore in the previous fiscal. Its revenue jumped to Rs 177 crore from Rs 141 crore. PAT margins saw an improvement to 11.4% as against 5%.
