Toonami to shut on 15 May

Toonami, which was the third channel from Turner after Cartoon Network and Pogo, will shut down on 15 May after nearly three years post its launch in India.

Turner said: “This is to inform multi system operators and consumers that the TV channel ‘Toonami’ is being shut down 15 May 2018 and will therefore not be available for public viewing with effect from 15 May 2018.”

Toonami has already closed operations in South East Asia from March-end. It was dedicated to bringing high-octane animated action to kids, superhero fans and their families across India. The channel featured franchises such as Batman, Superman, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Justice League, Inazuma Eleven Go, and Dragon Ball Z.
